Interested in learning more about the people behind local movements?

Join us as we celebrate the vibrant cultural history and ever-developing landscape of the East Bay, enjoying the sights and stories of locals who make this unique area a hub of social justice activism.  As a model of cross-cultural coalition building, the Bay Area stands as an epicenter of thought, action and change.  From 10-point programs to national policy and grassroots organizing to national sanctuary, the Bay Area stands strongly in our beliefs impacting the world via cultural influence as well as institutional change.

On this hybrid bus-walking tour, we explore some of the East Bay’s rich and complex history through food and drink, political, cultural, racial, economic and governance perspectives.  We visit local businesses, historical sites and cultural landmarks to engage in praxis that combines intellectual knowledge with practical reality.
