As the home of the original Black Panther Party, we welcome you to join our special rendition of the Black Oakland Tour. This walking tour will focus on the rich culinary offerings of the Black community in Oakland.
With a growing prominence of diverse tastes and infused foods including African American, Carribean, fusion and more, this tour is for the food lover in you! We will learn about the development of the Black Foodie and business scene in Oakland as we sense our way through downtown and Old Oakland to a growing hub of an array of Black businesses. The tour will include:
- Guided walking tour and mention of historic landmarks
- Fare from 2-3 Black-owned eateries (please share dietary restrictions)
- Cultural and historic information pertinent to the Black and diverse communities of Oakland, CA
